Tbilisi, May 29. Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the Georgian Prime Minister, Mr. Dimitry Kumsishvili, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Finances, Mr. Aleksandre Jejelava, the Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Sciences, Mr. Julien Liscouet, the Director for International Affairs at Vatel Group, and the press met for the Vatel Georgia launch ceremony.
They were all unanimous: opening a Vatel School in Georgia is a response both to:
- needs of the younger generations to receive high-quality training and education in their own country,
- expectations held by hospitality professionals to recruit their employees directly in Georgia.
“Accompanying the development of tourism in our country is a true necessity: tourism in Georgia is growing faster than the training of professionals that work in this field.
With the Vatel brand in Georgia, we’re giving young adults the possibility of being trained at home, and for our hospitality professionals, the possibility of recruiting highly qualified employees.” Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Georgia’s Prime Minister.
Julien Liscouet, the Director for International Affairs & Quality Assurance at Vatel Group added: “Vatel will be the first international hospitality management school located in Georgia. When they graduate, students will have certified degrees (Bachelor in International Hotel Management and an MBA in International Hotel Management) which are recognized in the European Union.”
The Vatel Georgia Campus will be located in Georgia National University and will host its first class of students in September, 2018.
